Formula for Success

By Martha Giffen

Every vendor in cyberspace has a secret for you to buy. There are methods and systems; formulas and e-books galore. Every seller will declare the content of their product is THE THING that will propel you to the success you long to have! All you need to do is to buy whatever they are selling.

Its very much the same as when baking a cake. There are secret ingredients from some bakers. There are methods and cookbooks to be had, each one declaring the content of their publication makes their recipe superior to all others..

When baking a cake, its wise to have the proper equipment: a well adjusted oven and bake ware appropriate to the size of the recipe. The baker needs a bowl, a spoon, and measuring devices. The ingredients necessary for a cake will vary according to the flavor, but the basics would be sugar, flour, eggs, oil, leavening and flavoring.

So it is with internet marketing. Comparing the baking of a cake to the project of launching a website, for example, you will need proper equipment: a computer and all the bells and whistles that are appropriate to the size of your project. The internet marketer needs a bowl of ideas, spoons to stir the process and measuring devices, such as meters or graphs to measure the rate of his success. The ingredients for a website would be basic, as well: digital or physical products, creativity in generating interest in those products-these might be graphics and copy-and the baker in the case of internet marketing would be an experienced mentor or coach. More support could be garnered from a group of peers or a mastermind team.

If you buy a system from an internet guru, any success you enjoy from using it will not depend on the system, but rather, on the action you take to put it into place and follow through on your part to make sure its working according to plan. If its not, its up to YOU to tweak your activity and make necessary changes to ensure your success.

When the baker presents his finished product to his eager recipients, he would hope it pleases their palates. When the people are delighted with the look, flavor, texture and overall outcome of a delectable cake, everyone wins, everyone is pleased.

If the people are disappointed, the baker may have hurt feelings and feel bitterly unsuccessful. If the baker experiences such a misfortune, he realizes it is not the hen who laid the eggs who is responsible for the results. He cant say the flour company or the grocer is at fault. If he forgot to add the leavening or inadvertently added eggshells to the creation, he must stand tall and admit the error of his ways.

And so it is with internet marketing. If you do not keep the messages to your clients current, or fail to freshen your sales copy; if you neglect monitoring your results carefully, you might have to make some admissions of your own.

However, if you follow the formula as shown to you by your mentor/coach and if you are diligent about learning lessons along the way, you can propel yourself and your business into tremendous success! Furthermore, if you are well disciplined and thoughtful; creative and serious about getting ahead in life, you will formulate your own concepts and you will consistently enjoy the sweet taste of success!
