Topics for Article Marketing

By Linda Jenkins

If you write articles for a living, or if you use article marketing to sell your products online, you know that coming up with ideas for articles is not always so easy. You do have to keep writing those articles, though, so here are some tips for you to help you keep writing.

* Check out what others are doing. Look at other writers' articles and write about something similar. If you don't agree with a particular writer, write what your own view is. Make sure you don't plagiarize articles, just use them as a base to write your own.

* Check freelance sites for writing requests. There's no need to apply for those jobs - you have your own products to sell, after all. However, the requests that other people are making could spark an idea. You'll be surprised by the difference it can make in your writing if you just let yourself use a little bit of outside input.

* Check out what other people are discussing in forums and blogs. Just type your topic with the word 'forum' into your preferred search engine and you will find out what it is that people want to know, what questions they have, and what concerns. Make sure to address those in your articles, and you can be sure that people will be interested in them.

* Talk to your friends and family and see what ideas they come up with. Maybe they will give you some topics that you haven't thought of. People who are already interested in your niche may prove to be especially helpful.

* Consider writing about your own interests and somehow relate it to your niche. If you enjoy a topic, then you will have an easy time writing about it. For example, if your niche is about dog training but you also like baseball, you can write articles about baseball and make sure to include some information about how to get your dog to fetch a ball.

* This is similar to the previous idea. Just write about something you know about. Even if you are not that interested in the topic, if you know something that others don't - people will appreciate it and link to your article. How-to articles are very popular so try writing those.

* What do you do in your spare time? Do you read enough? Spend some time reading all kinds of material. Magazines, online articles, fiction, biographies and others could all give you resources to help you write. It is a known fact that people who read write better. And besides, it's fun too!

* Last but not least, in order to increase the exposure of your articles, consider distributing your them using Unique Article Wizard. This won't help you get new ideas, but it will help you get more out of the ones you do come up with.
